Each year, the Global Restart A Heart campaign is launched, aiming to improve the low numbers of people surviving out of hospital cardiac arrests. 2019 marked the sixth annual campaign.Global Restart A Heart campaign

The campaign is lead by the Resuscitation Council (UK), who are in partnership with the British Heart Foundation, British Red Cross, St Johns Ambulance & Yorkshire Ambulance service. In addition, a further alliance of organisations all over the world come together to increase awareness of cardiac arrest, and increase the number of people trained in life saving CPR.

This year, Concept Hygiene have contributed to the cause, and provided a free CPR and defibrillation course to one of our new customers.

B & M Retail have recently installed our ZOLL defibrillators throughout their Distribution Centre in Speke, Liverpool. We felt that the Global Restart A Heart campaign gave B & M Retail, the perfect opportunity to learn some life saving skills which could help to save a person in the event of sudden cardiac arrest.

Our course was lead by our Training Officer Pauline Gregory. Pauline demonstrated CPR and other basic life support skills. Each attendee was also able to use our defibrillator simulator to practice chest compressions, pad placement and administering life saving shocks. The course lasted two hours and each delegate received a certificate of attendance.

We are so passionate about creating Heart Safe environments , so have been thrilled to be able to contribute towards such a worthy campaign.

We are already looking forward to Restart A Heart Day 2020!
